Hailing from the Bay Area, The Pack has evolved their own sound, taking its up-tempo grooves and techno-influenced texture to new extremes. Bay Area trendsetters, The Pack, are preparing to hit the road with Chiddy Bang, the buzzworthy hit makers who are currently enjoying rave reviews of the mash-up styled sound. The ‘Opposite of Adults’ tour, will also feature performances by XV and 2am Club. The first leg of the tour hits 15 cities beginning on June 6 at Nuemos in Seattle, and is tentatively scheduled to hit the Midwest and East Coast starting in August.
Fans can now listen to “Wolfpack Party 2010,” the title track off of The Pack’s debut album, on the group’s MySpace. Another track off the forthcoming album, “Sex On The Beach,” will hit radio waves soon and is slated to be this summer’s anthem, so prepare yourself.
“Wolfpack Party 2010″ is available on iTunes now with the “Sex On The Beach” deluxe single scheduled for a June 15th release.

Thizzness is capitalizing on the rapper’s involvement with the dance craze by hosting a Turfin’ N’ Jerkin’ contest. Both turfin’ and jerkin’ have become highly recognizable dances in Northern and Southern California respectively, and the contest will bring even more exposure, while at the same time promoting “Sleepy Deprivation.” Kicking off on April 5th and ending on April 24th, contestants will submit videos online of themselves either turfin’ or jerkin’ to a Sleepy D song, and the person with the most votes will win the grand prize!

Underground living legend MURS and 9th Wonder are at it again with ForNever, the pair’s third, and possibly best, collaborative album. Staying true to his popular personal as a rapper of the people, the multi-talented hip-hopreneur will embark on a 25-city tour starting April 14 through May 23.

While MURS is always down for group projects (with 9th Wonder, Living Legends, as one-half of Felt with Atmosphere’s Slug), the melancholy gypsy will head out on the road solo this spring. Catch him performing live versions of tracks from ForNever, including “I Used To Luv Her,” a remake of Common’s mid-1990s classic and “The Problem Is…,” a powerful examination of the struggle to make an honest living. Due in stores April 13 from SMC Recordings, ForNever features Kurupt, Suga Free, Verbs, Sick Jacken and Uncle Chucc.

But before MURS mixes it up with coeds and takes a bite out of the Big Apple, the California-based rapper will be performing at his own Paid Dues festival for the first time April 3 at the National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino, Calif.
